Volcano Climbing in Ecuador, June 2004

Our guide Abraham and Lindsay Watkins taking a break while descending the glacier on Cotopaxi.

I met up with Lindsay Watkins in Quito on the 1st of June for a two week trip around
the high peaks of Ecuador. We planned to climb El Corazon, Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi
and Chimborazo while we were there. However, due to a few wet and stormy clouds,
some minor gastrointestinal shinanagins some informal Hebrew lessons (of course), and
perhaps the fact that we had both decided to skip that whole training thing prior to going
on the trip, we ended up "0 for 3" on our three peak attempts, and had to make an emergency
R&R run to the quaint little town of Baños instead of attempting Chimborazo.
All in all, an excellent trip!

So, to hear more about this (exciting?) little story then click here, or you can just look at
individual portions of the trip as they are listed below. Enjoy!!!
