Bill Sears Colloquia - Fall 2005

The Bill Sears Club is an informal series of talks intended to give CAM students an idea of the research interests of various CAM-affiliated faculty. First and second year students are especially encouraged to attend. If you are interested in giving a presentation, please contact Jeffrey Pang (cp229_at_cornell.edu)

All Bill Sears colloquia take place on Tuesdays in 657 Rhodes Hall, with pizza served beforehand.

Most of Professor Durrett's research is in the general area of probability theory. At the moment, his favourite topics are spatial models

Currently, he is the Chair of the CS department, and is teaching CS621 this semester. You can learn more about him and among other things, his experience with his seventh grade geography instructor in his webpage http://www.cs.cornell.edu/cv/default.htm.
