Professor Rick Durrett , Mathematics Department
Most of Professor Durrett's research is in the general area of
probability theory. At the moment, his favourite topics are spatial
models
that arise from questions in ecology, and use of probability models

Prof Charles Van Loan, CS Department
Prof Charles Van Loan has worked in the area of matrix computations
and have written papers on various eigenvalue, least squares,
and linear equation problems, and is particularly interested in
matrix problems that arise in signal processing and control theory.
Currently, he is the Chair of the CS department, and is teaching
CS621 this semester. You can learn more about him and among other
