Special Programs

CAM is associated with a couple special programs in mathematics. IGERT, or the Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship, is an interdisciplinary program with a focus on nonlinear systems. While admission is selective, a significant number of IGERT members tend to come from CAM's student body as both programs emphasize interdisciplinary study. SMI, or the Summer Math Institute, is a summer research experience for undergrads led by current and past math and CAM students and based in CAM's Rhodes Hall facility.
